[ Single ] Freck Billionaire Ft. Fabolous, Ricky Jewelz & Red Cafe - Money Chasers

Freck Billionaire has often been overshadowed by his more famous friend, Fabolous, but this emcee is out to prove that he’s his own man with the new street album The Rich Young Report. For the album’s single, Freck enlists fellow rhymers Red Cafe, also a New York staple, Ricky Jewelz, and Fab himself for Money Chasers. Over a twinkling, ghetto-fabulous beat, the four friends trade tales of just how they survived the ghetto to make it to the top of the charts. Freck’s blunt, slick rhymes about his own street cred mesh well with Jewelz’s slippery-synth club rhythms to create a hood anthem. With strong industry support and tough lyrics, watch for this Philadelphia native to come into his own as a rapper on The Rich Young Report, out now.

[ Single ] T-paint Ft. Rick Ross - Rap Song

T-paint links up with the Bawse to make a rap song about making love to a rap song. Pain coos to his lady in Auto-Tune about throwing on that Jeezy, Gucci Mane, and Yo Gotti while getting freaky in the bedroom, referencing hits like Lil Wayne’s “A Milli” and 50 Cent’s “In da Club” on the smooth chorus. Rawse comes in with a breezy verse, encouraging listeners to bump those Ricky Rozay albums while shacking up in the sheets.
Teddy P. debuted the track in July at Summer Jam Canada without the Ross verse. The track is believed to be the next single off of T-Pain’s delayed fourth album rEVOLVEr. Enjoy the new rap song below.

[ Single ] Jason Derulo - Liquor Love

Another hot, catchy song is here. It's from R&B singer Jason Derulo, this song was leaked two months ago but this version is a full one and without shouts. I kinda love the beat of this song but I think they overdid it with the tune and the bass sounds just like a bad quality song. I don't know, I doubt  this one can be original version. Check it out anyway and if you know st about this song, let me know!

[ Album ] Darin - Love Killer

Darin, who participated in this years Melodifestivalen and finished in 4th place releases his fifth studio album this week and here at Escdaily, we’ve managed to have a listen to it.  Read what we think below.
Microphone is the the first track on the album which is also the follow up single to ‘Lovekiller’, Darin himself recently confirmed. This is a great album opener and instantly grabs you within the first few seconds, its an anthem!  The song is very fierce and features a great mix of strings, drums, and guitars. The chorus is very repetitive which adds to the songs memorable lyrics and melody.
You’re Out Of My Life is of course Darin’s wonderful Melodifestivalen entry which still even months on is the only National Final song that can give me goosebumps. Personally, I think Sweden were very wrong not to choose this for Eurovision as theres no doubt this would have made the final and possibly the top 5.  The lyrics, Darin’s voice and the melody fits so perfectly that you find yourself joining Darin in reaching that very high end note at the end of the song.
Lovekiller is next, the title track of the album. Once again, the intro to this song is a stepping stone that builds up to an epic chorus complete with drums and a backing choir. This one has a very Michael Jackson feel to it in both the music and the lyrics but Darin manages to pull it off.  Again, another perfect song from Darin.
Only You Can Save Me is a very deep love song and most certainly one of my favourite songs from the disc. Darin’s amazing vocals is what makes this song so emotional although being said, the lyrics are also very sad and I’m sure many people would be able to relate to them. Like ‘Lovekiller’ the verses are very subtle and lead up to a stunning chorus.
Drowning is next and one of the most anticipated songs from Darin fans. What can i say, it does not disappoint. From start to finish this song ticks all of the boxes. The production on this track is fantastic –  the drums, strings and violins all flow together nicely. The chorus is very addictive, this is the one that will be drilled into your head tonight and the first song you sing when you wake up tomorrow!  It has to be a single.
Viva La Vida was released in October 2009 and is a cover of the Coldplay classic. It was the soundtrack for the Swedish show ‘Idols’ and went straight to number 1 in Sweden in its first week of release. People’s opinions could be mixed on this one, especially fans of Coldplay. I however think Darin gives a different spin on the song,  sounding much more mainstream and commercial. I like it!
Endless Summer is yet again another ballad that begins with a nice mix of guitar and piano. Now here comes the first bit of criticism, the song sounds very much like an album filler.  Its very nice and sweet but I don’t feel that it actually goes anywhere and isn’t as memorable as some of the other ballads
OK (Dangerous Game) is the last uptempo song on the album and catches my attention instantly, this is a very interesting one. I’m loving the techno effect on Darin’s voice at the start and reminds me a lot of some of the songs on Darin’s previous album Flashback.Be Careful with my heart” is repeated throughout the song and fits in perfectly, especially the chorus!  This one ticks all the boxes once again!
Can’t Stop Love is up next and was written especially for the Swedish royal wedding last month. I can’t fault this one, its a really really lovely song that really captures your heart and makes you feel all warm inside.  I’m beginning to think that Darin should stick with the ballads as he pulls them off so well!
I’ll Be Alright is the final offering on the album which is yet again another ballad, but before you begin to criticise - this is a completely different type of slow song. I can tell just by listening for the first minute that Darin has put extra effort into this one as his emotions are really showing through his voice. Its similar to his song Homeless in the sense that the instruments used are very minimal, its just a guitar, strings and Darin’s moving voice.
After hearing that on first listen I can honestly say that this is one of the finest albums I have heard in the past 12 months. This is a completely new Darin, those teenage pop days are well and truly over. From the melodies to the lyrics themselves, Darin is showing the world how far he’s come which I can only applaud him for.
There’s not too much negative things I can say except that a few more songs would have been nice. By the last song, Darin’s got us wanting more and more.. but I guess that isn’t necessarily a bad thing!

[ Single ] Akon Ft. David Guetta - Once Radio

Akon and David Guetta conquered the summer of 2009 with their monster song "Sexy Bitch" (#1 in over 10 countries) so why stop making records together, right? Listen to their newest collabo in "Once Radio". The R&B-dance tune just leaked from the new Future Of R&B mixtape. It remains uncertain if this track will appear on Akon's new studio album due out later in 2010 or in Guetta's upcoming re-release of "One Love". I like the song, but it seems to me this ain't the final version. I guess so 'cause the French DJ's beats don't go that hard and don't transmit that ultimate party fever excitement that we're accustomed from his songs. In any case, this has potential to become yet another hit for both Akon and Guetta. Check it out.

[ Single ] R. Kelly Ft. Rick Ross - She Knows What She Wants

One of those good records that you don’t know anything about has re-surfaced. Back in 2009, this came out with Tapemasters Inc. tags. Rick Ross’ verse is better than average with creative lines like, “Might fuck you to Death put my Gun in it”. It’s doubtful this was ever going to be used so we can enjoy it.

[ single ] Kid Cudi Ft. Kanye West - Eraser Me

Kid Cudi owes much of his success to his widespread appeal. In addition to having hip-hop nation on lock, or at least the stoner portion thereof, Mr. Solo Dolo attracts no shortage of hipsters and electro-heads. It seems only natural then that Cudi jumps head first into full-on rock territory on his new single Erase Me, a guitar and drums laden track produced by consummate hitmaker Jim Jonsin, who says he sampled a Duran Duran record for the beat, but lord knows I have no idea which one (anyone?). Vocally Cudi doesn’t rap, he doesn’t even do that half-rap/half-sing thing, he just sings, and the results are either off-key in a good kind of way, or just bad (depending on your personal tastes). To keep hip-hop nation engaged Kanye West also puts in an appearance, although I’m not sure rhyming “Maria” with “diarrhea” is exactly his best work. Considering Erase Me and previous offering RevOfEv, we should be prepared for Cudi’s upcoming album Man on the Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager to sound like, well, anything when it drops in September.

[ Single - MV ] Drake Ft. Lil Wayne - Miss Me

If the hype is to be believed, Drake’s debut album Thank Me Later will sell approximately eleven billion copies, cure cancer and reverse global warming when it’s released. Well, I’ll be damned if Drizzy might just end up doing it, especially if the whole album sounds like Miss Me. First and foremost, just like he did on Not Afraid, Boi-1da - with some help from Noah “40” Shebib - crafts an instantly addictive beat that Drake uses to spit rhymes about weed, guns, strippers and cash (we’re a long way from Degrassi), and does so with legitimate skill. And as long as Drake was blowing money he might as well bring in his Cash Money mentor Lil Wayne for a frankly subpar guest verse. Who thought we’d see the day Drizzy out-rhymed Weezy? As always, I’m sure folks will find plenty to complain about (see the comments below), but as far as I’m concerned, this is Thank Me Later’s best yet. The most anticipated album of the year drops on June 15. Prepare yourself accordingly.

[ Single - MV ] TaeYang - I"ll Be There

YG Entertainment recently announced that residential R&B superstar and Big Bang vocalist Taeyang would be releasing a new song titled ‘I’ll Be There’ in English and Korean, both featured on his repackaged and translated ‘Solar’ international album. Ready to hear it?
Well, well, well…what have we here, Tae-Tae?
First off, the English is kind of hard to pick up. While I was listening to this, I was either focused on understanding what he was actually saying or trying to make sense of the musicality of it and still piecing together his gibberish. Okay, I’m exaggerating a little, but c’mon - the man used auto-tune on top of his not-so-clear English. It gets confusing, guys.
A couple of months ago we saw Taeyang release ‘Solar,’ which wasn’t bad, just not as awesome as most of us expected. It had it’s moments, so I wasn’t so sure what to anticipate with his brand new song. But having listened to it already, I have to say that it kind of made some of the songs on ‘Solar‘ sound like child’s play. It’s a classic Taeyang song, with smooth transitions and vocals, and abusive auto-tune galore.
I’ll Be There‘ has a steady instrumental and it’s working for me. It doesn’t overshadow Taeyang, yet it does it’s job by adding a nice effect to the whole feel of the song. His singing isn’t outstanding, it never has been, but what he does do is work to the best of his ability with what he’s got and that’s something worth appreciating him for. I would have liked the processing to be non-existent during the verses because it’s the meaty sections of the song and he could have played even more with his vocals in those areas. Other than that, there’s not much to cover about his voice.
I can’t help but think this sounds like Usher Version 2010. It would, actually, since he’s Taeyang’s one and only, but I think he’s walking right on the line of being inspired by Usher in his music and sounding identical to him. As an Usher fan, you’d think Taeyang would have realized that his idol kind of got lost in the woods this year with songs like ‘OMG’ and that one with Justin Bieber. I know we all agree that Usher from his ‘Confessions‘ days was the man, right?
Oh well, Taeyang kind of did Western music better than Western stars with this song, anyway, so yeah. STILL NOT GROUNDBREAKING OR EPIC, but not bad at all, baby.
Here are both the English and Korean versions of ‘I’ll Be There’. Enjoy~!

[ Single ] Bow Wow ft. Sean Kingston - Put That On My Hood

It’s been over a year since we last heard a solo feature from Bow Wow (2009’s You Can Get It All), and in that time his biggest publicity has come from an at least tangential connection to some Kat Stacks craziness (never a good thing). Today Bow is here to put all that behind him and finally get back to making music with the release of his new single Put That On My Hood, featuring a hook from Sean Kingston and some assorted yelling from DJ Khaled (surprise). Sonically, Hood rides along on a lightly brassed, bouncingly percussive beat courtesy of Julkeyz, which Bow uses to drop some seriously mature rhymes about his relationship with God and his efforts to help the less fortunate through the recession (seriously). It’s all a slightly odd combination, but somehow it works. So how about it Booth? Will you be putting Bow’s latest on your iPod? Fans should expect much more music now that the recent Cash Money/Universal Motown signee is gearing up to drop his new album Who Is Shad Moss?, slated to hopefully drop sometime this year.

[ Single ] Iyaz - So Big

Despite two successful singles, Virgin Islands-bred pop star I.Y.A.Z.’ freshman set still has yet to arrive (in the U.S., anyway). At this point, of course, there’s only one thing to do: drop another single – one So Big that the album will take on a life of its own and release itself, materializing on record store shelves in violation of all known laws of space and time. OK, on second thought, that seems a little implausible – but there’s no denying the appeal of the singer’s latest effort. Not one to fix what ain’t broke, J.R. Rotem delivers a beat similar to those he cooked up for the artist’s past singles, but bigger, layering on the sugary synths as I.Y.A.Z. explains how he wants to do it up (“So big!”), party it up (“So big!”), and spend it up (OK, you get the picture) all for the sake of a certain special lady. Will this joint live up to its name and set the charts on fire? You tell me. Replay is scheduled to drop sometime in late summer, though those who can’t wait can always grab the international import, released earlier this month.

[ Album ] M.I.A. - Maya

Maya (stylised as /\/\ /\ Y /\)
is the upcoming third studio album by British-Sri Lankan
recording artist M.I.A., set to be released on 13 July 2010
on her own label, N.E.E.T Recordings, through XL Recordings
and Interscope Records. Songwriting and production for the album
were primarily handled by M.I.A. and Blaqstarr. Rusko and
Derek E. Miller of Sleigh Bells are among the collaborators
on the album, as are M.I.A.'s long-time associates Diplo and
Switch. The album was mainly composed and recorded at M.I.A.'s
house in Los Angeles.

The album's tracks centre on the theme of information politics and
are intended to evoke what M.I.A. called a "digital ruckus".
Elements of industrial music were incorporated into M.I.A.'s
sound for the first time. Several tracks from the album were made
available online prior to its release, including "Born Free", which
generated controversy due to its graphically violent music video.

[ Single ] Flo Rida Ft. Ludacris, Gucci Mane & Git Fresh - Why You Up In Here

Flo Rida may have a penchant for watching shawtys get Low on the dancefloor and yes, a skilled pole-dancer can make his head spin Right Round, but the man’s no fool, and he can easily tell the difference between a chick who’s into him and a tease with ulterior motives. On Why You Up in Here the latest leak off his third studio album, the Panhandle State hitmaker encounters a member of the latter category and, with the help of a few heavyweight cohorts, gives said suspicious female the third degree over an arpeggiated-synth instrumental by KnoBody. After some characteristically high-energy flows from the headliner, guest-rapper extraordinaire Luda jumps on board to scold the girl in question for “playin’ with his emotions” in his dope-as-usual middle verse, and Gucci Mane spends his closing bars doing, well, exactly what you’d expect: ‘brrr’-ing, bottle-popping and showing off his ice. In between their bars, Miami’s Git Fresh drop in to provide some catchy R&B hook vocals. Listeners digging this star-studded cut can find Up in Here on Rida’s The Only One LP, which has yet to receive a solid drop date.

[ Single ] DJ Ill Will Ft. Red Cafe, Ya Boy, Gorilla Zoe & Jackie Boyz - Wish You Would

Here’s the official version of Ill Will’s single off his upcoming album Tha Alumni set for a 4th quarter release. He tells Sermon’s Domain:
“The record means a lot to me because it represents each major area of the rap geography. Red Café representing the Mecca of Hip-Hop, New York. Then you got Gorilla Zoe from the ATL (Dirty South) and Ya Boy throwing up the Dubs.
“I wanted to make a mainstream street record that all coasts and regions could feel attached to instead of just another predictable West Coast collaboration record, which is to be expected from me. I wanted to show the world that I fuck with the East and the South just as much as the West.”

[ Single ] Lil Jon ft. R.Kelly, Claude Kelly, Mario - Miss Chocolate

Remember Black Star’s uplifting “Black is beautiful” anthem, Brown Skin Lady? Lil Jon’s new single Miss Chocolate is nothing like that. Miss Chocolate’s strength is its production, a hypnotically head-nodding, club banging beat cooked up by Drumma Boy and Mr. Jon himself. For his part Lil Jon drops a not-exactly romantic verse – “…so round so thick / so nasty I love that sh*t” – along with, of course, his usual assortment of “Yeah!”s. (What? You were expecting something else?) Luckily, the King of Crunk isn’t handling vocal duties alone, wisely also bringing in R. Kelly, who delivers the kind of obscenely entertaining verse you’d hope for, and the supremely smooth Mario, whose hook and verse work somehow manage to push the song into musically respectable territory. Will Miss Chocolate be the lead single of Lil Jon’s long-awaited album Crunk Rock (due out in May)? That depends in part on how the masses respond, so have at it DJBooth nation. The future of Miss Chocolate is in your hands.

[ Album ] Rick Ross - Teflon Don

Ultimately Teflon Don is about two things: Rick Ross flossin’ his wealth and Rick Ross flaunting his friendships. For those of you with no interest in listening to someone take the better part of an hour to reaffirm their self-worth by showcasing how hard they’re shining: Teflon Don is going to be lost on you. But if you have no qualms with returning to an era of rap that celebrated ridiculous levels of decadence: you’ve come to the right place.
“Blast my record out the windows of your Honda Accord,” Ross recently suggested in an interview with Billboard. “And if anyone gives you grief, you look them right in the eye and tell them Rick Ross told you wealth begins in the heart.” That’s fine advice, but once you’ve reached such a level of wealth as Ross has, he’d likely suggest you ditch the heartfelt sentiment, get some iced out jewelery, and start ridin’ deep. Opening with the J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League-produced “I’m Not A Star,” Ross wastes little time in showcasing his egocentric view on the world, casually revealing his self-perceived place in the the industry, “If I died today remember me like John Lennon.” Despite its title, “I’m Not A Star” is essentially just three minutes of Ross explaining why, in fact, he is a star. Then there’s “Maybach Music III,” the third in a series of songs copping its name from the absurdly elite German car (though to say they’re just “cars” would be doing a Maybach a disservice), “B.M.F.” (which stands for “Blowin’ Money Fast”), “Aston Martin Music,”and “MC Hammer,” where Ross reveals in detail how much money he spends, “Bitch I’m MC Hammer, I’m about cream.” But don’t get Rick Ross wrong, he’s grateful for his lifestyle. “Becoming a young millionaire you can lose sight of the things that’s important to you” he explains in the introduction to “All The Money In The World.” Then again, the references to gratitude are definitely in the minority here.
Serving to complement the album’s lyrical focus on money is the rich roster of talent that joins Ross on Teflon Don, including Raphael Saadiq on “All The Money In The World.” “I’m fortunate enough to socialize with some of the greatest musicians around” he reflected in the same interview with Billboard. Damn right he is. T.I., Jadakiss and Erykah Badu join the MC on the aforementioned “Maybach Music,” Trey Songz & Diddy accompany Ross on “No. 1,” Gucci Mane sits in on “MC Hammer,” Styles P on “B.M.F.,” Drake and Chrisette Michele on “Aston Martin Music,” and even Cee-Lo Green makes an appearance with “Tears of Joy.” Two collaborations rise above the rest however, together standing as the album’s strongest tracks: “Live Fast, Die Young” with Kanye West and “Free Mason” with Jay-Z and John Legend.
Ross isn’t a lyrical slouch on “Live Fast, Die Young,” but the song is primarily held steady due to Kanye’s verse which, while maybe not warranting a “Kanye’s Back!” chant, suggests that his upcoming Good Ass Job release will have some serious flow to it. “My outfit’s so disrespectful/You can go ahead and sneeze ’cause my presence bless you.” On “Free Mason” Ross once again leads the way, this time branding the song as being “For the soldiers that see the sun at midnight.” By no means does the Inkredibles’ production take a back seat to the two superstars however, as an inspirational feeling is added to the track with the tightly knit beat. It’s not until Jay-Z’s verse that the track really peaks though. Lashing out at the reaction which was aimed at his “On To The Next One” video—its abstract symbolism was greeted with accusations of satanism and Freemasonry—Jay immediately digs in, “Niggas couldn’t do nothing with me, they put the devil on me… Fuck all these fairy tales/Go to hell, this is God engineering… Bitch, I said I was amazing/Not that I’m a Mason… He without sin shall cast the first stone, so y’all look in the mirror double check y’all appearance…Bitch, I’m red hot/I’m on my third six, but a devil I’m not.”
While not on the same level as “Free Mason,” the most telling track on Teflon Don might very well be “Tears of Joy.” The song’s introduction casts an unusual tone early on as we hear a recording of a speech originally delivered by Huey P. Newton, co-founder of the Black Panthers, “Power is the ability to define phenomena and make it act in a desired manner.” This is followed by a series of statements that act as a call to violence to spark change. The words offer little but lost sentiment though as Ross fails to honestly address the recording in the song. Rather, working alongside Cee-Lo’s ever-stunning vocals, he continues with the same flow that is felt throughout various other parts of Teflon Don, appearing to show appreciation for what he has, yet still sneaking in the occasional conceited reference: “Biggie Smalls in the flesh.” By all means he’s a good rapper, but Notorious B.I.G. he is not.
The reason that “Tears of Joy” might best represent Teflon Don, despite being cast among such a quality stream of tracks, is because it displays how truly one dimensional the album is. Even when blatantly trying to shift the song in a new direction, Ross’ lyrics come back to focus on personal wealth. If you were to measure Teflon Don‘s lyrical substance on a scale of 1 – 10, you’d end up with a negative number: there simply isn’t any. But if you measure the album on its ability to showcase a non-stop flow of tremendously tight beats, mixed in with some consistent contributions from some of today’s biggest names, and capped off by a memorable showing on the mic from The Boss, Teflon Don is scoring high.

"If I Die Young" is the title of a song written
by Kimberly Perry and recorded by American country
group The Band Perry. It was released as their second
single in June 2010, and serves as the lead-off single
to the group's self-titled debut album, which will be
released on October 5, 2010.

The music video, which was directed by David McClister,
premiered on CMT on May 27, 2010. In the video, the band
is shown setting Kimberly Perry in a canoe before pushing
it off into the river. Kimberly's mother and her love
interest are shown plucking flower petals and visibly
depressed that she has left them. Eventually, her canoe
begins to take on water, and her brothers come back for
her. When she gets back to her house, her mother and love
interest embrace her. Throughout the video, the band is
also shown performing with their instruments inside of
the house.

"If I Die Young" debuted at #57 on the U.S. Billboard Hot
Country Songs chart for the week of May 29, 2010. It also
debuted at #92 on the Billboard Hot 100 for the week of
July 24, 2010.

"If I Die Young" is a mid-tempo accompanied by acoustic
guitar, banjo, and fiddle. The song's female narrator
describes being content with the life she has lived,
assuring others that if she were to pass away at her young
age, that she would have no regrets. She recognizes that
once she's gone, that people will seem to notice her
absence: "And maybe then you"
